Cindy Smith
OwnerBorn and raised in Shreveport, LA, Cindy Smith is a testament to the fact that big things can come in small packages. As the left-brained leader in the group, Cindy balances the team with keen marketing and business acumen.
Cindy wears all of the hats, as she is responsible for day-to-day operations of the business, account service and management, video production and direction, and whatever needs to be done. Having graduated from Louisiana State University Shreveport in 1992 with a BA in Mass Communications / Public Relations, she started with the company in 1995 as the Media Director. After a promotion to Vice President, Cindy purchased the business in 2002 with Andy Meadows to form Kalmbach Smith Meadows. In 2010, Cindy bought majority ownership in the company and is now the sole owner of the operation.
Cindy has served her community in a large number of organizations throughout her professional career but is currently the Communications Representative for the Shreveport Bossier Military Affairs Council, the Secretary for the Independence Bowl Foundation, and a member of the Simple Church. In her free time, you are likely to find Cindy spending time with her husband and children (lovingly deemed the “491 gang”), reading, enjoying a nice day outdoors, listening to a wide range of music from Frank Sinatra to Keith Urban, or looking for an excuse to get to the beach!
She and her husband, William, also own Honey Baked Ham & Café in Shreveport and are proud parents of Abigail, who has joined the KSM team as the Business Development Manager, and son Harrison, who is currently attending the University of Arkansas.
Cindy’s Favorite Thing About KSM:
“KSM is not the just the job I do every day; it defines me in so many ways. I started at the agency as the Media Director on its 10=year anniversary in 1995, and now 26 years later I have a come a long way, outright owning the agency for 19 years. I have worked with some wonderful people, have learned from some well-respected mentors, have enjoyed becoming a part of so many local families in business, and am now excited to see where the next 10 years leads us as an agency family. I love the process of helping and watching people grow to be the best they can be in what they do!”
