The Start of the Difference

Nearly 23 years ago, the Kalmbach Smith Meadows team presented the “Plenty of Vroom” pitch to what was, then, a small dealership in Mansfield, Louisiana, known by the market as Mansfield Auto World. As the dealership grew and gained recognition within the market, Kalmbach Smith Meadows’ role as a partner became more prevalent as a true partnership took form.

The 2015 accreditation of GM franchisee for Red River Parish, induced by notable growth, sparked a need for expansion and a brand refresh. This was the driving force behind the building of a facility in Stonewall, Louisiana, as well as a new introduction to the market as Marketplace Chevrolet Buick with a complete rebrand. The agency moved forward in tune with the dealership to morph into much more than an advertising team, becoming consultants for all things marketing and advertising from special event planning and GM collaborative efforts to social media and digital marketing.

Rebranding

After decades of success and service, the shift from Mansfield Auto World to Marketplace Chevrolet Buick required extensive market research and design development to assure the continued effectiveness of the brand. In the transition, the agency rebranded the dealership with brand core continuity at the forefront, keeping the desired direction for the dealership and its target market in mind. The new branding and logo was then integrated into every facet of the dealership’s operation from vehicle tags and water bottle labels to property signage.

Digital and Social Marketing

Implementing hyper-targeted digital marketing efforts through channels such as Google Search, it can be ensured that the vast majority of all relevant users searching for vehicles will see Marketplace Chevrolet Buick advertisements, driving traffic and relevant leads. Our team delivers monthly Google Analytics reviews, reporting on ad performance and delivering actionable results.

As a GM franchisee, we are also in collaborative partnerships with third-party vendors contracted by General Motors, ensuring that our marketing efforts work in tandem with efforts by third-party vendors through periodic evaluations. Our agency also manages all social media platforms for the dealership which includes posting for feed engagement, monthly video production with Marketplace staff, animated compilation of customer reviews, and development of themed social content for high levels of user engagement and recall of the brand. Without the ability to always be present at the dealership to capture engaging content, our media team hosts monthly social media training sessions with the sales and service teams for creation of content by the staff.

Video and Commercial Production

Commercial production is implemented with broadcast and digital applications in mind, producing video in various length formats and for broadcast, digital, and streaming presence. In terms of the conceptual concepts for commercial production, as an agency, we saw the value and potential to be found in connecting a product with an emotion or set of emotions for consumers. The “Marketplace Moments” concept was born of this knowledge. Vehicles are the tool that allows for connections with others, with self, and with the world.
